well here it goes: Element of Light
Lane’s point of view:
Bailey was sent to an interrogation room while we were told to wait out here. It’s probably been 1 hour or so what were they talking about.
“Hey faker.” I turned my head to see a black hedgehog that kinda looked like Sonic but not by much. “I heard you were at that competition where the fire took place.”
“Yep Bailey saw what happened and who did it” Tails said as he walked up to the black hedgehog.
He cocked his head “Bailey?” He said with confusion in his voice.
“Oh that’s right you never met her she’s in the interrogation room, and this Lane the cat, Lane this Shadow the hedgehog” Tails said “and this is-“
“Blaze the cat and marine the raccoon,” Shadow said as he went up to shake Blaze’s hand.
“Uh have you guys met before or something?” sonic said looking utterly confused.
“Oh strewth that’s a great story, mate well it all started when-“Marine was cut off by Blaze. “It’s a long story” (read sonic universe issue 1 and 21-24 if you want to know).
At that moment bailey walked out of the interrogation room. ”Hey what took you so long” sonic said.
“They asked me some other questions I didn’t know the answer to after I described Julie in depth,” she said sounding tired. “They’re taking us back to station square while they make their special delivery.”
“Um, what are they delivering?” I said silently but loud enough for Bailey to hear me.
“They won’t tell me all I know is that its important.” She said sounding a little annoyed by it.
“Shadow do you know what there transporting?” Blaze asked.
“That’s classified information,” he said as he crossed his arms. Blaze looked annoyed by his answer.
“Aw come-on mate tell us,” Marine said with a smile on her face.
“I can’t tell you” Shadow looked really annoyed. We weren’t getting anything out of him.
“It’s going to kill me if don’t know” I said.
“No it won’t” Shadow said as he walked off.
Latter in the G.U.N vans. While we were going to station square it looked like Marine and Sonic were having a competition to see who could annoy Shadow the most, and Marine was wining. I guess that’s what happens when you’re dying of boredom. Bailey fell asleep, tails is playing with his hand held thing that looks like an ipad, and blaze is looking out the window.
“Hey Shadow, Hey Shadow, Hey Shadow, Hey Shadow, Hey Shadow.” Sonic said constantly. “WHAT!” Shadow yelled. He looked like he wanted to kill Sonic and Marine, which I think he might. At that moment Bailey woke up. “What the” she said still half asleep. I thought I was going to fall asleep as well until the truck came to a sudden stop. A tree fell and was blocking the road. The G.U.N officers got of the van to try and move it.
“That’s strange,” Bailey said. “That tree was cut down”. I looked at it for a second and then I looked at back the back of the van to see something fly by my eye. I got out of the van to see what it was.
“Hey you you’re not etherized to get out of the van” the officer yelled at but I didn’t lessen. As I approached the back of the van I saw a fox and bat planting a bomb on the back of the van.
“BOOM”
I covered my face as the door exploded. I saw the fox run into the van for something. At that moment Shadow and everyone else got out of the van. The bat went to distract them as the fox started to run off with the box.
“OH NO YOU DON’T” I yelled as I tackled the fox. We began to roll into the woods uncontrollably. He pushed me off and I rolled deeper into the woods.
“Stupid girl” he said as he walked off.
As I came to a stop I saw him walk away with the box. I tried to get but I fell down do to all the scratches and bruises on me. I got on my knees and began to look around to see where I was. I couldn’t see the road and I was in no condition to walk. It was then that I saw a strange rock in a perfect circle. I grabbed it. It had a weird star shape on it. I stared at it for a few moments and then it started to glow.
“What on earth” it glowed brighter and brighter and began to sparkle. I started to feel strange I looked down to see my cuts closing and my bruises fading away. The light started to die down until it was gone along with the stone.
“Where did it go” I whispered to myself.
“Lane where are you” Sonic yelled.
I got up and started to run up to him as fast as I could (I’m the best runner on my track team at school so I was very fast).
“Hey what happen to you we saw you rolling down the hill like a maniac are you ok” Sonic asked.
“I’m fine thanks for asking” I said though I didn’t sound fine. I was still confused over that light I saw.
“The bat got away what happened to the fox” Sonic asked.
“He got away too” I said.
“Well why didn’t you go after him!” Shadow said to me with anger on his face.
“I-I-“
“Saw you run back here you could have easily cot him!”
“But I-“
“Do you even know what he just stole from us?!”
“No I don’t”
He stopped when he saw tears falling down my face. I was terrified. I was leaning on Sonic; he was trying to comfort me. Shadow then turned around and walked away.
“I would like to know though” I said with tears still rolling down my face. He signed and started to tell me.
“Not too long ago a group of archeologist discovered an old ruin. Inside they found a strange stone. There was writing in the walls speaking of great power. When one of them touched the stone a bright light appeared from it-“
“And then it disappeared along with the stone right?”
“No” Shadow said with a confused look on his face.
“Sorry continue”
“They took it back to their lab to investigate it, until they were attacked by a group of people trying to steal the stone. They got away with the stone and delivered it to the G.U.N. They called the stone the element of light and told us to take it some were safe and as you can see we just lost it” shadow said as he escorted me and Sonic back to the van.
“Are we still going to station square?” Bailey asked
“No were going back to G.U.N HQ. We need to investigate this eminently.” Shadow said as we got in the van.
“The element of light,” I whispered to myself as we headed back to G.U.N HQ.
